Enrollment Guide for Foreign Undergraduates 2018
一、招生专业及学制
Majors and Educational System
北京信息科技大学有39个专业（查看www.cie.edu.com-〉本科专业设置）面向全球招收本科生，学制为3～6年，采用中文教学。
Our university offers 39 different majors,(For more detailed information, please visit our website: www.cie.edu.com) which are available for students worldwide. Students can expect to spend 3-6 years in their chose n field. All majors are taught in Chinese.
二、申请资格
Applicant Qualifications
1、原则上年满18周岁以上、30周岁以下，高中毕业以上学历，成绩良好，持外国有效普通护照的非中国籍公民。到2018年9月1日仍未满18周岁的申请者，需提交由北京地区公证处出具的监护人公证书原件。
Applicants should be between the age of 18 and 39. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a high school diploma and transcripts exhibiting satisfactory academic performance. (according to the document of identity cognizance from Ministry of Education)Applicants who will be under the age of 18 as of September 1, 2017, must provide the original copy of the notarized legal guardian form, issued by Notary Public Office in Beijing.
2、身心健康。
Applicants should be in good health.
三、申请材料
Application Materials
1、北京信息科技大学外国留学生入学申请表。
A completed Beijing Information Science & Technology University (BISTU) Application Form for International Students.
2、高中毕业证或大学在学证明原件或公证件（须为中文或英文），应届高中毕业生须提交“预期毕业证明”原件，录取后补交“高中毕业证书”。
Copy of high school diploma or school attendance certificate of college. Copies of the certificates of final diploma (original should be shown, when you arrive at school); graduates should provide expected graduation certificate.
3、高中成绩单原件或公证件（须为中文或英文）。
Transcript: the applicant’s transcript current as of the most recent semester (original or copy, in English or Chinese). Those students who have not yet completed high school must provide the document, which shows expected graduation date. Once completed, the applicant must provide the copy of high school diploma. (When you arrive at school. Please shows us the original one)
4、可以证明有效期一年以上的护照首页及签证空白页复印件。
A copy of the applicant’s passport’s front page and visa or residential permit page.
5、担保人有效证件的复印件（护照或身份证）。
The copies of guarantor’s valid documents (passport or ID card).
6、 如果已通过HSK考试,须提供HSK证书及成绩单复印件，进入专业学习的学生需提供HSK4级及以上证书。
The applicant who has passed the HSK4 exam should provide the copy of the HSK4 certificate (if applicable). This is required for the applicant to waive the Chinese language classes and enter directly into the major program study.
7、护照尺寸白底照片4张。                                 
Four passport photos with a white background.
8、报名费500元人民币。
Application fee: 500 RMB.
❈说明：
Additional remarks:
1、奖学金申请者须提交《北京信息科技大学外国留学生奖学金申请表》。
Scholarship applicants are required to submit Application Form for Beijing Government Scholarship Beijing Information Science & Technology University.
2、到2018年9月1日仍未满18周岁的申请者，需提交由北京地区公证处出具的监护人公证书原件。
The applicant, who is younger than 18 until September 1st 2018, should also provide the original guardian certificate, which is issued by notary Service in Beijing.
3、申请者如持中国境内其他学校申请的学习签证，需提交：
Applicants who received a student visa from another university in China.
（1）由该校出具的“转学同意函”（必须加盖公章）。
Must provide a letter of release upon checking in at BISTU (signature and seal) .
（2）任课教师的推荐信。
Completed teacher’s recommendation form.
（3）在华签证或居留许可复印件。
A copy of the applicant’s passport’s front page and visa or residential permit page.
4、申请材料及报名费不予退还。
The application materials and application fee will NOT be refunded.
四、申请流程
Application Process
1、申请方式：
Form of application
申请者可以选择以下其中一种方式进行申请。
Applicants may choose one of following methods to apply for undergraduate program at BISTU.
方法一：在线填报。请登陆北京信息科技大学国际交流学院网上报名系统（网址：http://cie.bistu.edu.cn），点击“在线申请”，在线填写报名信息。
Method 1: Online application. The applicant can apply from BISTU’s College of International Education’s website (http://cie.bistu.edu.cn). Click the button labeled "Apply Now" and fill in the information.
方法二：申请者从网上下载《北京信息科技大学外国留学生入学申请表》，将填好的申请表和申请材料，通过电子邮件发到国际交流学院工作邮箱。
Method 2: The applicant may download and complete the application form for international students and email it to our mailbox.

方法三： 提交纸质申请材料。 (1)申请者可来北京信息科技大学招生及学生管理办公室直接递交或委托他人递交申请材料；(2)邮寄（地址见联系方式）。
Method 3: Submit the application materials in written form
Application materials may be submitted in person, by third parties, or by mail (Please check the address below).
2、材料审核与补充
Review materials and supplement
学校审核申请材料，申请者须按学校通知及时补充相关材料。
The university reviews the application materials. The applicant should also submit additional documents by requirement of the university.
3、参加面试
Interview
申请材料审核通过者，须按学校的通知参加面试，不能到校的申请者将通过网络视频参加远程面试。
Once accepted, the applicant should go for an interview according to the school notice. If the applicant can not arrive school, the interview will be held by remote video.
4、录取通知
Admission notification
学校确定拟录取名单，向录取者寄发《录取通知书》和JW202等材料。(请在报名时注明领取或邮寄录取通知书的联系方式）
The university confirms the list of intended students and sends the letter of admission and Visa Application for Study in China(JW202). (please indicate the method which you want to receive these documents, making certain to include your contact details)
五、申请时间

2018年1月5日至2018年6月30日（寄申请材料以邮戳日期为准）。
BISTU accepts applications from January 5th to June 30th (The date of application shall be the stamped date )
六、学费及住宿费
Tuition and Accommodation Fees

学费：20000元人民币/学年
Tuition fee: 20,000 RMB / academic year

住宿费：12000元人民币/人/学年/床
Accommodation: 12,000 RMB / academic year (shared room)
七、奖学金
Scholarship
1、北京市外国留学生奖学金： 减免一学年全额学费。
奖学金金额：20000元人民币/人/学年
The Beijing Municipal Government Scholarship: remit tuition fee of one academic year
20,000 RMB/person/academic year (must be reapplied for annually)

2、北京市外国留学生“一带一路”奖学金：
The Beijing Municipal Government “One Belt, One Road” Scholarship

申请资格：“一带一路”沿线国家的申请者（具体国别和地区见附件）。
Admission Requirements: the applicant must be from one of the eligible “One Belt, One Road” countries listed below. (see attachment one)

奖学金项目涵盖的专业：计算机科学与技术、软件工程、网络工程、信息管理与信息系统、信息安全、电子商务、国际贸易及国际商务等专业。
These majors qualify to receive the Beijing Municipal Government “One belt, One Road” scholarship: Computer Science and Technology, Software Engineering, Network Engineering, Information Management and Information Systems, Information Security, Electronic Business, International Trade, International Business and so on.

奖学金金额：全额（20000元人民币/人/学年）或半额奖学金（10000元人民币/人/学年）
Amount of Beijing municipal “One Belt, One Road” scholarship:
full amount: 20,000 RMB/person/academic year, amount of partial scholarship: 10,000 RMB/person/academic year,

奖学金名额：13-15名
Quota:13 - 15 people,

资助年限： 4年（每年进行考核）。
Length: 4 years. (Students must reapply for the Beijing Municipal Government “One Belt, One Road” Scholarship each year.)

资助条件：本科4年期间不得离校或转学。
Application requirement: Four years of undergraduate study in BISTU. During the undergraduate degree, dropout or transfer to another school are forbidden.
八、签证申请
Visa application

被录取者，持学校签发的《录取通知书》和《外国留学人员来华签证申请表》(JW202)到所在国的中国使馆办理来华入境签证，抵达中国后30天内需要到国际交流学院申请办理外国人居留许可。
Admitted students must submit the “Admission letter” and “Visa application form for foreign students in China”（JW202) issued by the school to the Chinese embassy in host country to apply for a student visa and go to the College of International Education to apply for a foreigner residence permit.
