院系简介
北京科技大学工业设计系立足人工智能、大数据、物联网、虚拟现实等新锐前沿的创新设计领域，探索融合艺术与科学、科技与人文、文化与经济多种学科多重领域的创新，引领设计教育生态的可持续发展。
北京科技大学机械工程学院于2000年开始招收工业设计专业本科生，2003年正式成立工业设计系，2004年开始招收艺术设计专业本科生，同年设立设计艺术学硕士点。工业设计系现有专任教师21人，其中教授5人，副教授5人，其中13人次获得国家杰出青年基金，"新世纪百千万人才工程"国家级人选，《科学中国人》年度人物，教育部新世纪人才计划，北京高等学校“青年英才计划”，国家科技进步二等奖，“光华龙腾奖”第十届中国设计业十大杰出青年，北京市科学与技术一等奖，中国包装之星金奖，中国创新设计“红星奖”等荣誉称号和奖项。外聘4名剑桥大学、宾州州立大学、斯坦福大学、台北科技大学知名教授担任兼职教授。
工业设计系主要在信息与交互设计、工业设计、视觉传达与媒体设计三个研究方向开展设计基础理论研究、设计管理与设计策略、信息交互界面设计、人工智能智慧产品设计、大数据信息可视化、数字娱乐与数字媒体设计、数字文化遗产与创意产业研究、人机工程与认知心理、服务设计理论与方法、文化创意商品研发、品牌形象设计与传播等领域的研究工作。承担欧盟、国家自然科学基金、国家社会科学基金、教育部基金等项目10项，总经费达2580万元，签署横向课题370项，总经费3.55亿元。检索论文与影响因子显著提升、获得红点、红星等国际国内设计大奖52人次。
我系每年培养博士研究生6名，硕士研究生约27名，本科生约80名。多名硕士研究生和本科生在世界500强企业担任要职，如谷歌、微软、IBM、Intel、奥迪、青蛙设计公司、阿里巴巴、腾讯、百度、网易游戏、联想、小米等；同时也培养了多名优秀学生在设计全球排名前50名的学校深造，如剑桥大学、RCA、帝国理工、中央圣马丁、卡内基梅隆大学CMU、德尔福特大学Delft、日本筑波大学、美国ACCD Art Center、罗德岛设计学院、帕森斯设计学院、伊利诺伊理工、加拿大阿尔伯塔大学、荷兰埃因霍芬、意大利米兰理工大学、德国Essen大学、芬兰赫尔辛基大学、早稻田大学等接受博士生和研究生教育。近年我系与剑桥大学、DMU德蒙福特大学、邓迪大学、Art Center艺术中心设计大学、首尔科技大学设计学院、台北科技大学等多所高校签订了合作交流协议，并与国外和台湾地区多所大学建立了常态化的交换生制度。
我系的学科发展与人才培养紧扣大数据、人工智能、互联网、智能制造、虚拟现实、游戏设计等前沿领域，是中国工业设计学会信息与交互设计专委会执行委员单位，Lens中国可持续设计联盟成员，国际服务设计联盟SDN中国区成员单位。
A Brief Introduction to the Department of Industrial Design
The Department of Industrial Design explores theedge and disruptive innovation such as Artificial Intelligence, Big Data,Internet of Things, Virtual Reality and New Design Materials. Merging with thecross-disciplinary of Arts & Science, Technology & Social Science,Culture & Economy, our department leads the design education development inone sustainable eco-system. We set up three disciplines which includeInformation & Interaction Design, Industrial Design and Communication Arts.The research focuses on design theory, information and interface design, AIsmart products design, big data information visualization and infographics,digital entertainment, digital media and new media, digital cultural heritageand creation industry.
School of Mechanical Engineering, University ofScience & Technology Beijing (USTB) began to recruit industrial designundergraduate students in 2000. In 2003 Department of Industrial Design wasformally established and began to recruit art and design undergraduate studentsin 2004. In the same year, the master's degree of art and design program wasset up. At present, the Department of Industrial Design has a total enrollmentof 21 full-time instructors, including 5 professors, 5 associate professors,among whom 13 persons have won the National Outstanding Youth Fund, nationalcandidates of “The New Century millions of talented people Project”, annualfigures of “Scientific Chinese”, Award of education Ministry of Science and Technology,Gold Award of China Packaging Star, “Red Star Award” of China InnovativeDesign, “Guanghua Dragon Award”, Award of the National Science and TechnologyProgress, Award of Beijing Science and Technology, 10 outstanding young peopleof The Tenth China Design Industry and other honorary titles and awards. TheDepartment of Industrial Design also has 4 well-known external part-timeprofessors from Cambridge University, Pennsylvania State University, StanfordUniversity , Taipei University of Science and Technology.
The Department of Industrial Design is mainlyengaged in the basic theory research of information and interaction design,industrial design as well as visual and media design, including management andstrategy of design, information exchange interface design, artificialintelligence intelligent product design, big data information visualization,digital entertainment and digital media design, digital cultural heritage andcreative industry design, ergonomics and cognitive psychology, service designtheory and methods, research and development of cultural and creativecommodity, brand image design, communication and other fields of research work.The Department has undertaken 10 projects of the European Union, the NationalNatural Science Foundation, the National Social Science Fund, the Ministry ofEducation Fund and others, the total funds amounted to 25.8 million RMB.Approximately, 370 horizontal issues have been signed with total funding of355.89 million RMB. Retrieval papers and influencing factors are significantlyincreased. 52 persons have won design awards of Red Dot, Red Star and otherinternational and domestic awards.
The Department cultivates 6 doctoral students, about27 graduate students and 80 undergraduates every year. Many of master’s degreeand undergraduate students have obtained important positions in the world's top500 enterprises, including Google, Microsoft, IBM, Intel, Audi, Frog DesignCompany, Alibaba, Tencent, Baidu, Netease games, Lenovo, Xiaomi; Also, a numberof excellent students are studying for Master’s degree or Doctor’s degree inthe top 50 design schools of the world, such as Cambridge University, RCA,Imperial College, Central St. Martins, Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), DelftUniversity, Japan University of Tsukuba, ACCD Art Center of USA, TokushimaSchool of Design, Parsons School of Design, Illinois Tech, University ofAlberta, Netherlands, Eindhoven, the Netherlands, Polytechnic University ofMilan, Essen University, Finland, Helsinki University and Waseda University. Inrecent years, the department has signed cooperation agreements with CambridgeUniversity, Demont Ford University (DMU), Dundee University, Art Center DesignUniversity, Seoul National Polytechnic University School of Design and Taipei Universityof Science and Technology. The Department has also established a normalizedexchange system with colleges and universities of foreign countries and China’sTaiwan.
The subject-specific development and personneltraining of the Department is closely linked to big data, artificialintelligence, the Internet, intelligent manufacturing, virtual reality, gamedesign and other frontiers. The Department is executive committee of ChinaIndustrial Design Institute of information and interaction design committee,member of Lens China sustainable Design alliance and member unit ofinternational service design alliance SDN in China.

Evolution
2000年 ·Specialty of Industrial Design began to recruit thefirst art and design undergraduate students.
2002年 ·Having sponsored the “Design and Culture” Forum onCross-Strait and the Poster Exhibition of Chinese Characters.
2003年 ·Department of Industrial Design was formallyestablished.
2004年 ·Specialty of Art Design began to recruit the firstart and design undergraduate students, in the same year the master's degreeprogram of Art & Design was set up and began to recruit the firstpost-graduate students.
2006年 ·The prestigious award of Beijing college students’graphic design contest of “The Olympics at my house” was won by the Department;“Bamboo rhyme" Olympic torch design scored the Top four of Beijing Olympictorch Biding over the world and won sponsorship of the Organizing Committee ofthe Olympic Games. In the same year, cooperation agreement with South KoreaChangwon University was signed for exchange of students.
2007年 ·“Exploration and Practice of CultivatingModel of Innovation Consciousness and Design Practice Ability” by the team ofthe Department won the university special award of educational reform.

李威，教授 (LI Wei，Professor)
博士生导师，教育部新世纪优秀人才获得者，江苏省双创人才获得者。1996年获得哈尔滨工业大学机械学专业工学博士学位，从事计算机辅助设计等领域的研究工作。2004年至2005年作为访问学者在美国UNIVERSITYOF ILLINOIS AT UBANA-CHAMPAIGN大学学习，主要从事数字化设计与仿真等方面的研究工作。2005年入选教育部新世纪优秀人才，2014年入选江苏省双创人才。目前兼任中国机械工程学会机械传动专业委员会委员，北京市机械设计教学研究会副理事长，近年授权国家发明专利2项，获北京市精品课程2项，北京市教学成果二等奖1项，获中国船舶重工集团公司科技进步二等奖1项，中国石油和化学工业优秀科技图书二等奖1项，主编及主译出版著作11部，承担本科生机械设计课程和研究生现代机械设计方法课程的教学工作。

喻蕾，讲师 (YU Lei，lecturer)
中央美术学院空间与展示设计专业学士，英国中央圣马丁艺术与设计学院MACreative Practice for Narrative Environments硕士，2017年获中南大学文化产业方向管理学博士学位，读博期间赴加拿大英属哥伦比亚大学商学院交流学习。曾就职于北京东坝文化产业有限责任公司任影视部策划，北京国民信和控股有限公司任品牌部经理。曾在中央电视台新闻频道、湖南卫视天天向上栏目组、《经济日报》经济杂志社等部门实习。个人项目The Personal Interpreter project在伦敦PetrieMuseum实施（2012）。参与了Speaker'sCorner project、Freud Museum project、Larnaca project等国内外项目。发表论文四篇，其中CSSCI三篇。参与编写中国文化品牌发展报告（2015）及两个国家级项目研究。个人著作《因为还会再相逢》由湖南文艺出版社出版（2015）。主要研究方向为创意文化产业、博物馆公共文化教育、虚拟博物馆、虚拟工作坊。

清水吉治教授
日本工业设计师、工业设计教育学者、马克笔手绘大师，被国内外工业设计界公认为设计表现的权威，他的作品更是国内外高校工业设计专业学生临摹的范本。
廖学书教授
华梵大学工业设计系前系主任，台湾知名工业设计师，具有40多年的产品设计经验。毕业于罗德岛设计学院工业设计系。
